project option should accept string | string[] across all framework SDKs #21069

Closed

Description

@nicohrubec

The shared BuildTimeOptionsBase.project is still typed as string, although the bundler plugins support string | string[]. Passing multiple projects causes a TypeScript error.

Required changes on develop:

  • Widen project in packages/core/src/build-time-plugins/buildTimeOptionsBase.ts. Astro, Nuxt, SvelteKit, SolidStart, Remix, React Router, Nitro and TanStack Start React inherit this type.
  • Adapt packages/react-router/src/vite/buildEnd/handleOnBuildEnd.ts to create releases and upload source maps across multiple projects. It currently forwards project to the CLI SDK, which accepts a single string.
  • Add type regression coverage for arrays and React Router coverage for multiple projects.

Next.js already supports arrays via #21067. Deprecated options are outside the scope of this fix.
