Proposed changes

Allow the Docker action to publish a version such as 3.0.0 and latest from the same build while the GitHub release remains a pre-release. Manual runs accept an image tag, an optional source tag/branch/commit, and an explicit option to publish latest.

Check out the requested source and use its local Docker build context for all five multi-platform images. Record the actual source commit, validate image tags, and honor unchecked image selections. Existing dev-push and stable-release tagging behavior is retained.

Types of changes

  • Bugfix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)

Validation

  • YAML parse and whitespace checks passed.
  • Shell scenarios passed for manual version plus latest, manual latest only, manual version only, dev push, current stable release, older stable release, and invalid tag rejection.
  • Confirmed all five builds use the selected checkout as their context.

Manual release inputs

For this release: sourceRef 3.0.0, imageTag 3.0.0, publish_latest enabled, and all image selections enabled. This builds the existing release commit without changing its pre-release status.
