[Bug] SenseCAP T1000-E – Bluetooth connection fails on Windows 11 (Chrome, Edge and Desktop App)

Description

I am unable to establish a Bluetooth connection to my Seeed Studio SenseCAP T1000-E running MeshCore on Windows 11.

The issue occurs in all three applications tested:

  • Google Chrome (MeshCore Web App)
  • Microsoft Edge (MeshCore Web App)
  • MeshCore Windows Desktop App

The T1000-E is detected via Bluetooth, but the connection fails. Pairing directly through Windows 11 Bluetooth settings also fails.

The device was previously connected to an iPhone using KiekR. That connection was disconnected before attempting to connect from Windows.

Environment

  • Device: Seeed Studio SenseCAP T1000-E
  • Operating system: Windows 11
  • Browsers: Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge
  • Desktop application: MeshCore Windows App
  • Reported version: 1.1.8 (component not yet confirmed)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Power on the SenseCAP T1000-E.
  2. Ensure it is disconnected from the iPhone.
  3. Open the MeshCore Web App in Chrome or Edge.
  4. Select the T1000-E from the Bluetooth device list.
  5. Attempt to establish a connection.
  6. Repeat the process using the native Windows application.
  7. Attempt pairing directly through Windows 11 Bluetooth settings.

Actual Behavior

Chrome:

The device is discovered, but GATT service discovery fails:

FlutterBluePlusException | discoverServices | web-code: 0 | NetworkError: Failed to execute 'getPrimaryServices' on 'BluetoothRemoteGATTServer': GATT Server is disconnected. Cannot retrieve services. (Re)connect first with 'device.gatt.connect'.

Microsoft Edge:

Bluetooth connection to the T1000-E also fails.

MeshCore Windows Desktop App:

The device is detected, but connecting fails with:

PlatformException(discoverServices, device is disconnected, null, null)

The application displays a "Failed to connect!" error.

Windows 11 Bluetooth Settings:

Windows detects the T1000-E, but pairing fails with:

"Try connecting to the device again."

Expected Behavior

The SenseCAP T1000-E should establish a stable Bluetooth connection with the MeshCore Web App in Chrome and Edge, as well as the native Windows Desktop App.

GATT service discovery should complete successfully.

Additional Information

The same device fails to connect across multiple applications on the same Windows 11 system.

The Chrome Bluetooth device log confirms that Bluetooth discovery is initiated and that the Bluetooth adapter is powered on.

The exact cause of the disconnection is unknown.

Questions

  • Is there a known compatibility issue between the SenseCAP T1000-E MeshCore firmware and Windows 11 Bluetooth?
  • Why does the device disconnect during GATT service discovery?
  • Is this related to Bluetooth bonding, the firmware, or the Windows Bluetooth stack?
  • Is there a known fix or workaround?

Screenshots of the connection errors and Bluetooth diagnostics can be provided.
